Pandemic Unemployment Assistance Ending

The Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) is ending tomorrow, September 4th.  This means that the extra money that the federal government adds every week to unemployment is expiring and will no longer be given out.  This will result in a sharp decline in the amount of unemployment assistance that individuals will receive.  At $300 a week, individuals can expect to see a decrease of $1,200 per month.

What now?

Because the PUA is expiring and is not likely to be extended (if you are currently on unemployment) you are going to need to find a way to replace the income that you were used to receiving.  You have no doubt seen all the “Help Wanted” or “Now Hiring” signs around town.  It seems that everyone is hiring.  How do you know where to go or what to do?

That’s where our team at Continental comes in!

At Continental, we are here to help you find the right fit.  We have many different client partners across several different industries.  Because we are so well connected, we can listen to your career goals, look at your work experience and find the best options for you.  More than that, we walk you through the whole process from application through dispatch!  If you are ready to get started, give us a call or check out the current job openings on our job board and apply online!
