A resume is not required but encouraged, however is will benefit your chances in being considered for a position. A resume will summarize an individual’s skills and experiences, and is helpful for CLSR to submit to a Client for consideration.

Are You Interview Ready?

What does CLSR expect? Some Tips on how to be “ready for an interview”:

Be on time – You are being evaluated even before you arrive. Be Prompt and prepared.

Bring a resume – One-page summary to highlight skills and experience.

  • Typically more than one page is overwhelming, try to summarize.

Be presentable:

  • Dress for the position you are applying for.
  • Do not slouch or slump during the interview.
  • Make eye-contact.
  • Speak clearly.
  • Be present, do not be distracted.

Talk about Yourself – The Interviewer wants to know why they should pick you out of 100 people, this is your time to shine, and make an impression. (But do not ramble).

Answer Questions thoroughly – Even if the answer to an interview question is “yes” or “no” try to expand or give examples.

Ask Questions – the Interviewer wants to see your interest and motivation for the position you are applying.

Be Honest – The interview is the time to discuss information about the position, if the pay is too low or the hours don’t match your schedule, this is the time to bring that up.

Be Confident – Ultimately candidates are selected based on the skills matching the open position. Confidence goes a long way, and may be the deciding factor between qualified individuals.
