• Continental Labor & Staffing Receives Occupational Excellence Achievement Award for Safety Excellence from National Safety Council
  BAKERSFIELD, Ca.--September 14, 2009 
  Continental Labor & Staffing Resources (CLSR) announced today that it was awarded a 2009 Occupational Excellence Achievement Award for Safety Excellence from the U.S. National Safety Council. The award recognizes employers that have injury and illness rates involving days missed from work equal to or less than 50% of the rate compared to similar industries and have no fatalities during a calendar year.
   
  All Continental operations facilities were recognized by the National Safety Council for its safety accomplishments.
   
  Jose Perez, Director of Health & Safety for CLSR, states "We are excited to be one of the first in our industry to achieve this recognition. It is a true example of how our culture can make a difference in the lives of others. Not only does our staff understand the value of safety , our employees and clients have responded by incorporating our culture into their lives and organizations."
   
  The National Safety Council is a private, non profit international organization with more than 60 chapters worldwide. Its mission is to promote policies and practices that can help reduce unintentional injuries and deaths in workplaces, on the highways, and in the home and community.

• Cal OSHA Awards Continental Labor & Staffing Resources "Golden Gate Partnership Recognition"
  BAKERSFIELD, Calif.-- September 14, 2009
  Continental Labor & Staffing Resources (CLSR), one of Kern County's largest employers, announced today that it has received an official letter of "Golden Gate Recognition" from Cal/OSHA for a successful worksite safety evaluation of its operations in Bakersfield, Ridgecrest, Paso Robles & Visalia. "It is an honor and a privilege to be recognized by the State of California for our client & employee safety practices," said Jose Perez, CLSR`s Director of Health & Safety.
  "We hold the safety and health of our employees as a core value of our organization. It is exciting to see our efforts being recognized by Department of Industrial Relations (Cal OSHA). Our Clients, Employees & Safety Team work hard to ensure everyone goes home to their families." states Jose Perez, Director of Health & Safety.
   
  According to Cal/OSHA, the Golden Gate Partnership Recognition letter is only presented to those companies who work with hazardous materials and receive a full-service on-site evaluation visit by Cal/OSHA. If the visiting Cal/OSHA work safety experts determine the company has meet specific criteria, such as: Establishing and maintained an effective injury and illness prevention program; An overall safe work environment; Recorded inspections of the workplace; And a safety and health management system, a Golden Gate Partnership Recognition will have been achieved.
